Desyncs

Guys i just have a simple question that i haven't found the answer yet....it may be a pretty dumb question, i don't really know, but here:

When playing PM online (On wii, using the brawl disk), if both players have the same custom stages (say, a battlefield import into a Melee remastered battlefield), will it still cause desync? Same goes to the custom characters (like an import/vertex of Rosalina on peach)?

If you are using a 1:1 copy of the exact same files/textures, there will be no desync.
