Can someone layout some good specs for a gaming deskop? I'm unfamiliar with this sort of thing.

To be more specific, I want to build it was good as possible for as cheap as possible. I was looking at prices on 6GB of DDR3 and the such, Intel i7 and it can get pretty pricey. I want a pretty good rig for games like SC2, and whatnot. I have a guy who can build it for me, I just want some pretty good specs going in and knowing what I'm getting.

Go to canyourunit.com, pick Starcraft 2, and it'll show you what your current system can do and what is recommended for a smooth gameplay experience.

Just get around or a bit above what it says for "recommended," and you'll be good.

Im going with an Asus and just upgrading it, by far the best bang for your buck and makes a kick *** gaming PC.

Alienwares suck, and Macs are just...no.

Quad-core processors are already the latest and most appropriate processor nowadays in pc gaming. At least 256MB of video RAM is needed in order to get along with most current games. Good luck with your pc best find adventure.
