Big guns indeed. Nairo and Nakat have replied to me on Twitter at least!

There is no chat room for this tourney. Based on the last online tournament I ran, which had 44 people, I have devised a 'fool-proof' (heh, well we'll see) ruleset for it to be efficiently self-organised through Challonge and their PM system. Matches are hosted and joined depending on whether you appear pictorially above or below your opponent in the bracket. As it says in the rules on the Challonge page, "There is no chat room or facebook/discussion page for this tournament. If you are not comfortable with this, do not sign up."

Lol Jtails asked the same thing on Twitter. As entry is free, no prize yet except prestige and fun unless someone donates one -the prize for iSmashONE was a game on Steam, but no-one has done that yet this time.

I have a request: the next tournament you do can it be like just 2 hours earlier. 12:00 pm PST is SUPER late over in Hungary. I know this is a pretty demanding.. well, "demand". But it would open up my chances of being able to make it.

Join Chat Room to organise faster, and to quickly see who is actually online. Optional obviously as the tournament does not require communication, but would be more enjoyable, and im sure the majority agrees to have a chat room. Will give Admin Status to Organiser if he joins the chat room.

'G~P' is the top 3DS player in the competitive scene. He was going to compete but unfortunately can't cause of work 'Scr7' and 'Spuddles' are very good, they are competing.

But if it gets confusing for people, then I will delete your post from the Challonge discussion page. The tournament is designed to be entirely self-organising using Challonge alone.

I said it was totally optional for players and seeing already 20 people have joined the chat room, i think it was totally reasonable. The rules are set up in a way which you are quite right, not needing a chat room. However if you joined the chat room, many people are asking questions about the tournament. Would be helpful as tournament organiser to join the chat if you can

what are you talking about?? it's clearly easier to communicate and much quicker. the rules have been written well so no chat is needed but that relies so much on the trust of the other player, at least in a chat you can see who is there. look at it from a player's perspective, it's better to see them actually being there then just waiting for some mystical being to message you, or to reply to you for that matter.
