No you don't have to use customs. BUT if your opponent needs them on you are required to have them on.

At 6:00pm EST Check Ins begin, to check in go to the bracket link on Challonge and click on the Check In link on there. You can also access the bracket link through my stream by typing !bracket.

The farther you make it in the tournament the more likely you are to play on stream. In the earlier rounds if I don't call your name, you check the bracket to see who you are playing then find your opponent in Twitch chat and go do your match.

All communication during the tournament is done through Twitch so unless I call your name you keep playing opponents off-stream. I would aim to be in the stream by 6ish to get checked in and everything.

Either agree to stage or do stage striking. Stage striking is 1-2-1, host strikes first.

So tommorow's tournament is gonna be my first ever one, can you explain to me how stage picking and counter picks work? I don't really understand and I don't wanna be lost.

With stage striking you to decide where the first match will be played it's 1-2-1. Host strikes 1 stage from neutrals, player 2 strikes 2 stages and then the host strikes one more, you then play on the remaining stage.

As for counter picking the Winner of game 1 for example can ban 3 stages, the loser will then counter pick.

You can also technically just agree on a stage with your opponent to skip the stage striking / banning process.

Hopefully that cleared everything up for ya.

i signed up for todays, but don't fully understand everything, i don't care what stages i play at really, just want to be able to understand or know when i'm supposed to play and when i'm not, i've never done it like this before

at 6:20pm EST I would go to my twitch channel. All communication is done through there.

at ^6:30pm EST the tournament will start. You will check the bracket at that time, find your opponent in Twitch chat and go do your matches. When you finish you can either report your scores directly to the bracket or to me in Twitch Chat.

If you are reporting to me let me know your opponents name and the final score.
