How are we going to communicate to our opponents on which stages we ban/pick? Are we going to just do it through the Twitch Chat or is there another method we are going to use?

No it's not too late, some people sign up 5 minutes before the tournament begins.

Communication with your opponent will be done through twitch,

Stage selection works 1-2-1 to determine where the first match will take place.

First Match: Host strikes 1 starter stage, player two strikes 2 starter stages, host/player one strikes one more and then you play on the remainder.

After the first match: Winner has 3 stage bans and then loser would counter pick.

If you want to counter pick a stage that's not part of the legal stage list your opponent HAS to agree to it otherwise you can only pick from the legal stage list.

So does that mean I can or can't counterpick a stage like battlefield sorry for so many questions this is my first tournament

You can counter pick Battlefield cause it's a legal stage.

Also you can switch characters in between both sets and matches.

Yep, every Wednesday and Sunday.

Wednesday Tournament is Single Elimination with Customs on sometimes 1st gets a prize.

And the Sunday Tournament is Double Elimination, No customs and there's almost always a prize fir 1st.
