It seems that I can dish it but I can't take it. I had a pretty embarrassing loss today and I realised that I don't even know how to fight my own main lol. Ngl I was a bit salty.

Anyone got any tips for fighting against Samus as Samus?

If it helps, he is what I call an 'online player'. He stood at the edge of the stage and mashed on projectiles and rolled all the time. There was a bit of lag so I couldn't punish his rolls all the time but I can usually deal with this sort of player.

Honestly, if its lagging, just do the same thing. Trying to do technical things in lag only leads to frustration, and it will be as difficult for him to power shield your projectiles in lag as it is for you.

More specifically though when you get up close at low percents never Jab as you can be D-Tilted you right after, always be wary of Dash Attack at midrange and the fact it can cross up your shield, and try to bait out grabs for big punishes. Also note that Near Full Charge - Full Charge Charge Shot will eat through Homing and Super Missiles.

Somone said it on here before, not sure who but, the Samus MU is very momentum based, whoever wins the initial Charge Shot war and gets the other person off stage first gains all stage control and can apply all the pressure whilst you struggle to Charge up your own Charge Shot, so try to pull ahead early and it should get easier from there.
