Dealing with Spacies

Hey everyone I have a quick question, I've noticed that when I play Sheik against a good, offensive space animal player I find myself losing control of the match and often getting knocked around quite easily at the beginning. I know how to deal with them once they get past about 40% but up to that point I have a lot of trouble controlling the match. Do you guys have any advice on how I could possibly break some of their combos and deal with shield pressure and just an offensive fox or falco? Thanks

There should be MU threads detailing Sheik's advantages/disadvantages against certain characters.
U se the search function and you should find results, or ask in the Sheik social thread, they'll be glad to help

Just have good movement/good stage positioning. Gimps and grabs are the two things you should be looking for because those two things will win you the match. When you get a grab/knockdown try and get as much percentage out of it as you can. When you get the spacie off the stage make sure they don't come back, if they come back once just be ready to punish and keep repeating until they die. If they make it back to the stage for free than you need to improve your edge guarding. When getting comboed DI the best to get out of it or you can try and DI toward the ledge so you can grab ledge. Sheik has amazing Out of Shield options so try and work on them.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. Since this thread was posted a while ago my Sheik has improved by a decent amount and I worked on tightening up my movement, shield options and DI. Practicing with people better than me has helped a lot. Thanks for your input though! I agree that they shouldn't be able to come back once they're off the stage.

quick litle small tech chasing trap u can try, i saw m2k do it and i stole it blatantly and i think its kind of a frame trap
when u down throw spacies at like 0 u should go for grab techchases, but when they get around the percent where ftilt will pop them up, go for ftilt immediately

If they miss the tech it hits, if they tech in place u can jab > grab (u might be able to just grab straight up but idk)
and if they tech away you can react to it ith dash atack in either direction

its gooood

Against spacies i believe Sheiks OOS options are very usefull, and are generally more reliable than shield-grabs. That will definitely help you deal with the pressure! And also dont be afraid to play by the ledge. Bait them to come over and throw them off! Sheik has the best edgeguarding capabilities so be sure to utilize them!
