Dead Forum?

You know, I've been thinking about this for a while, but with Brawl coming in about a month, everyone will leave and this forum will not be as popular as it is now, since the game will take a while to complete, the character support threads will end, as will everything else concerning the antcipation of Brawl. Anyone else feel this way?

Doubt it man. I bet only half the people who claim to have improted the game get it on release, if not way after for courier reasons. Just expect the lucky few improters + Japanese members to be quiet i'd think :D

Well, I mean after almost everyone on here gets the game. I wasn't talking about when they got it, or if it would happen right after release, MKV.

are you criminally schizophrenic? these forums are gonna be just as popular as ever, maybe more, because everyone will want to know "how do you unlock ______?", "Have you seen this glitch?", and my personal favorite, "When's the next tournament?"

Also, i'll be dipped in chocolate fondue if youko doesn't push for a "This is such a cool game" SMYN.

Well seeing how obsessed everyone is about brawl...the game will probably beaten as soon as possible, and character support threads will be replaced with: character discussions, strategy discussions, disapointment discussions, Wi-fi Tourneys blah blah, the like. So.......no. I dont feel like this.

Are you kidding? Theres going to be tons of "how do I..." topics along with cries for help on certian levels, as well as tier speculation (oh lord I cant wait for THAT >_>)

there will still be PAL people here and stuff, as well as people giving reviews for Brawl. Also, as mentioned, I am sure there will be TONS of "How do I...?" topics, and poeple thinking they discovered advanced techniques

The forum will be dead untill evereything is revealed on DOJO!! or atleast most everything,. I'll come back after a while, but avoid alot of spoilers. and by alot, i mean all of them

Well, as for me personally, I'm going to find out what the roster is(not how to unlock them) and then leave the Internet alone until I figure out as much as I can by myself.

After that, of course, I'm going to be right back here with everyone else talking about new info, strategies, etc.

So yeah, expect about a month of nothing but "how do you unlock X" and angry Europeans/Australians seething about the fact that we're playing Brawl while they're reading forums. I weep for you, my European/Aussie friends.

And honestly, I don't think -anybody- is going to miss the character support threads or the roster predictions. They were cool for a while, but after a year and a half, I think everybody is ready to know who's in and who's out.

The anticipation part of Brawl will be dead, that's pretty obvious, but I'm sure most people will be more than happy to discuss the actual game and it's awesome, and also how to get better at it. I can imagine a lot of time will be spent looking and discussing any new advanced techniques that happen to pop up too... also, the advanced screenshot mode and level editor features are going to create a lot of cool topics too!

It will take more than a simple game release to get rid of the spirit of Brawl!

like everybody else said, these forums are going to grow bigger once we are actually playing the game and not just speculating. Add that to the new smashers that will play brawl and maybe come here.

i'm betting a reasonable percentage of people visit smash boards for information of brawl, so once it is out, it will probably be less popular to an extent. Then again, it may grow with online play: people trading friend codes and setting up tournament play. Either way you will always have people posting to say "ZOMG I JUST BEAT EVENT 201!!!!"

QFT If anything maybe the MELEE threads will die...but the BRAWL threads will shoot up like anything. Discussion is SO MUCH MORE ENTERTAINING then Speculation most of the time and I am gonna be on these threads EVERY MUTHAF***in DAY....(as if i'm not already)
