Ok i recently noticed that i dashdance far to often and to much to the point when it doesnt even bother my opponent sometimes so i was wondering in what situations would you dash dance?

Go watch some of ken's videos. In the end, dashdancing makes your movements slightly less predictable, which you can take advantage of when your opponent is in a weak position.

Like any other move or technique, if you spam it too much without mixing it up it becomes useless.

what i have been told by good people is that dash dancing is an alternative to standing still/waiting...it lets you be more mobile, like you can dash dance then wave dash to regain your ability to dash again and it makes you unpredictable too compared to just dashing...cuz out of just dashing, you can only jump, shield, crouch and dash attack...most of them are easily read and countered, but if you are dash dancing while also approaching/retreating, you can mix it up and come out with anything. especially if you master pivoting f-smashes, etc

^As a counterpoint to that, you would in particular want to not dashdance in situations where you feel you need to be able to react to a variety of possible situations (since your options out of a dash are limited.)

You don't really need to be able to pivot fsmashes. There was a point where I practiced it and used it pretty effectively in tournament. Unfortunately, I slowly phased it out of my gameplay as I found less and less use for it.
