dash / slide canceled grab

VID

Sorry that the video was crudely(and when I say crudely I'm MEAN crudely) done, but I've never done it before. ^_^

Anyway... on to the actually move.

It's really simple to to pull off. Simply run or dash in any direction and then roll your control stick down(Or flick it. It doesn't matter either way). You want the sliding animation to start and once it does grab. Simple as that.

*Running down smash*

Basically the the same movement as the dash/slide canceled grab, but you need to flick the control stick down after the running animation begins or you'll either get a dash attack or a dtilt.
So basically it's :
dash >
flick V
then flick the cstick down (I've done it with the A button and control stick too, but it's a lot harder to pull off.

EDIT: In case your wondering, it works with every character. Fox's was just the most noticeable.

Seems a little too slow to be usable. Now we can get grabbed before our attack even begins! WEWT!

I didn't notice much of a change with the sliding grab though.

Yea, the dsmash seems a bit unusable, but you never know. :ohwell:

From what little research I actually put into this I've noticed that the dashing shield grab works better for the slower characters where as the slide canceled grab seems to give the quicker characters more of an edge.

D3, for instance, seems to get carried further with the dashing shield grab compared to diddy or fox who do better with the slide canceled grab. From what I can tell, momentum seems to have a huge factor on which grab works for certain characters. I could be completely wrong about that though.
