Dancing Blade on Wifi...

Trying to learn to play Marth with online practice.

Even in small lag, I'm having trouble making the whole 'string' come out.

In training/practice, I can do it full speed time after time.

Any suggestions on or offline to make this attack come out completely each time?

Something more than 'Wifi is dumb online forget about it' please :)

*EDIT:

An easy 'trick' to do full speed Dancing Blade is to press A along with B on each swing. Of course, make sure you tap Side+B right before the A on the first attack at least (your thumb will easily get this conditioned) then you can just spam B+A and the 'direction' of each attack you want. Will not work if you only 'tilt' the control stick, must do a full press.

Just try doing it a bit slower than if you were playing offline. I think that's what worked for me.

Like the above poster said, just do it slower than you normally would. It will still come out pretty fast.

press b a lot
thats dumb...dont do that..

Do this: Press B every half second..or every second. Dont rapidly press B cuz ull do two swings only..For online all u have to do is time it..Its not that hard man..Just tilt in the direction u which to swing and B.B.B.B when u press the B...ull notice that after u press the last b..The attack then comes..It doesnt come right when u press that fourth B..

I hope this helped...if u request a video i will get u one.

I didn't want to make an own thread on this, so:
I fought another Marth yesterday and somehow managed to spike with the Side B (third hit down, just like in Melee).
Though I'm not really sure if I spiked him... It's weird.
I'll upload the vid soon.

Edit: Here it is - what do you think?

Directly above you tipping a dair.
Oh, thanks.
I thought it was taken out
Actually it was. Melee let you spike anywhere with the sword and it was a LOT more powerful. This time, aiming it is painful and the spike is weak. Its kinda like Lucas' dair. It spikes, but just barely. You can recover from it easily if you are quick enough. The marth in the video probably could have just reversed his dolphin slash to grab the ledge.

yeah wut he said. and i recommend not playin with marth online..its pointless. To use a true skill like dancing blade, The battle must be fought Face 2 Face.

I discovered a neat 'trick' to Dancing Blade full speed both on Wifi and off. Updated my first post to include this 'trick'.

I think the shock kills more people than the move itself. Even though they are capable of recovering, since they aren't expecting it they panic when it happens.

No doubt the 'spiked' Marth in the video could of recovered; however, it's still useful and argueably sets up a dair spike against some.

If you're having trouble with getting all the hits you just need to get a rhythm. I had the same problem at first but now I just follow a rhythm i found that works and i can do it online or offline the same way.

My main problem is I can hardly ever get the training mode to register 4 consecutive hits, let alone online.

I can sometimes do it but have no true good method. Maybe I just need to learn the exact B-press time for each different string mix-up. No easier way.
