do any other sheik players use it as part of their strategy? i find that it's pretty useful for getting your opponent into the air to set up for a fair or a uair. it also has decent priority. so........anyone?

Yes this is a very good move but it is still underused by most sheik players. The amount of times I use this move is when I send a player on a platform or when a person misses a tech.

Basically people use it for platform followups and whatnot because it will hit no matter how the people tech since it stays out for so long.

Yea it does kind of suck, if the other person does any Up attack, it will hit u thru the Dair. If u can get it in unexpected its a nice combo starter, but def not somethign u want to run around doing to a standing opponent or anything

Montreal. PM me if you're on the island! I need op
If your opponent has a habbit of not teching and attempting to stand/getup attack in tech-chases, anticipate it and shffl a dair right after your dthrow. If he didn't tech, it should pop him up at just about ftilt height. I trust you know what to do from there.

It's also good on levels like FoD or YS. The low platforms beckon to chaingrab victims to DI straight up onto them. If they do this, shffl a dair onto the platform. You should be able to land the dair before the opponent techs, popping him up for an ftilt or a fair (some foes can even be grabbed again).

As Shack said though, it's pretty easily outprioritised, so don't try to come down on an opponent's head with it. You'll just eat a utilt/usmash.

but shieks fair has bad priority btw. and it prollyh as the worst L-cancel lag out of her aerials

I used to use this to tech chase opponents when they land on a platform above me. But I recently saw Plank waveland grabbing to platform tech chase...that seems to be much better and less risky than a dair.

yea it really is only good to chase people on platforms above you. its priority and slow speed makes it an almost useless attack in most situations.

I personally love Sheiks dair as it does a great job shield stabbing and it can hit people hanging on the edge. Other then that it's priority suck, it doesn’t have enough range to defend sheik against over attacks and is most likely Sheiks worst aerial move but still it's one of my favorite moves.
