Probably already obvious, but early on during a match, we all know that the only move that can hit the opponent out of a Dair for a true combo is jab, right?

And that can be unsafe, because Fox's AAA combo can be punished even if it hits if the opponent does the right stuff.

But anyway, Dair to grab works rather well as a substitute.

Of course, it's not a true combo because the opponent still has time to spot dodge (or in Lucas's case, hit you with an AAA) however, they do not have time to roll, jump or otherwise evade the grab, because the invincibility frames for a roll come out later than a spot dodge.

So basically, with Dair to grab, you condition your opponent to spot dodge as their only method of escape. The good part is, Fox recovers from the grab animation BEFORE the opponent gets out of their side dodge animation, giving you enough time to grab them again!

So here's how it works: Dair, and then slap the Z button fast and low like some kind of deranged funkypriest. Even if they dodge the fist one, they won't dodge the second one. And if you hit with the first, you'll just go into a pummel and can then throw at leisure.

still needs some testing though. Some characters with fast spot dodges may be able to get out. But it would still be safe as a new standard combo for low % I think.
