Cutting lag off of Lucas' grab?

I didn't seem to see anything posted about this anywhere (please don't crucify me if it is), but I noticed that if you're running, and then jam the control stick in the opposite direction, immediately grabbing afterward, it cuts the lag off a missed grab tremendously.

Now, the neat part is, you can basically 'do this' while basically standing still. While standing there, run in the opposite direction you plan on grabbing from and jam the stick in the opposite direction immediately (similar to dash dancing) and grab then.

I don't know per se, how useful this could be, as his grabs aren't exactly the greatest, and there's always the risk of tripping as well, but none the less, it's new information (I think <_<).

It's well known that Lucas' pivot grab is lag-free and awesome.

I actually use this technique as a kinda PKF retreat. stand still, run in other direction and instantly pkf in the opposite direction before lucas slides. I use this for spacing against marth players. Kinda like a smaller wavebounce.
