So, I've seen it is possible to make custom announcer calls. I made a announcer call and I heard you have to name the file the group ID number, so I think I named it 227.sawnd and I dropped it in my SD card where are the sawnds are in. When I booted up the game, my file played, but all Project Melee announcer voices are gone and replaced with brawl (i.e: no calls for the starter pokemon and scratchy noises for Roy and Mewtwo). Is their any way to modify the original Project Melee 227.sawnd just so I can add my announcer call in?

It seems like you just took a sound file(wav, MP3, etc) and just renamed it to 227.sawnd
Regardless, to edit PM's announcer calls, you'll need Project M's version of 227 .sawnd , then you need to import it into a smashbros_sound.brsar(https://www.dropbox.com/sh/p01chjw1j1k4zuz/AqQxXnviMp/sound) with Super Sawndz(https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0m5ow8gobp0luo9/HOrLO4AAvM). Next, insert your sound(at 22050 bit rate, and in mono) into the brsar inside of the 227 section, then export it as 227.sawnd
NOTE: You need to paste a copy of the BRSAR into your pf/sfx folder for the program to export the file properly.
