Csp Help (Brawl + is freezeing)

I have just been trying to learn how to edit csp's in brawl and can't seem to get them to work. I am using brawl box to edit them.

First I open the common5.pac
Next I open the portrait for my selective character. (Ike and Sonic in my case)
I find the picture that i want to replace.
I then replace that file with a picture on my desktop. (All the pictures are from the internet and can be used as csp's)
When done replacing image files i save and replace the common5.pac in my sd card in the system folder.

When i open brawl + the game runs fine until I try to go to the character select screen.

Please Help!!!

To ensure that doesn't happen...
1. Make the dimensions of the pic you wanna put in Brawl 128x160
2. DON'T CLICK Recommend. That messes up your CSP, which is what I'm guessing you said.
3. Make sure it says True for HasPalette in the data box, and that should fix any problems you're having

I click "Recommend" all the time and have never had any problems and I have CSPs for like every character.

Common5 freezes B+ for me all the time.

So i go into the css file without common 5
