Ok update people:

The Target store I was in contact with did not receive it today in their shipments, so they said to check back again tomorrow. I asked them specifically if they were going to sell it early and they said "we will sell it as soon as we have it." So hopefully they live up to that.

I called a different Target and they said they didn't have it either but they said to come on the 9th to get it. They said they could not sell it earlier than on that date.

I called a third Target and they said the same thing as the second store.

So pretty much I just have to wait until tomorrow and see what the first store says. If they get it in stock then I'll see if they actually sell it to me. It seems pretty promising though.

Just remember not to get your hopes up. Stores are punished for breaking the street date; if the box says "do not sell until March 9" then I can't imagine an organized store putting them in stock until then. It doesn't really matter what one sales assosciate says, he doesn't have control over it.

I understand that Lithos, the odds are still against me. The street date has been broken in other places though, so obviously it CAN happen. Will it? I'll find out by the 9th. lol

Once they actually get the game in then some real resolution will take place. For now it's still waiting...

I work for Target as a team lead, and i asked our electronics specialist today if we might possibly be breaking the street date (we have already done so with bully and another game that escapes my memory. We have had Brawl in since yesterday, and after what happened with Sears, and isolated gamestops, I was hoping we may do the same. I can assure you, Target or any of its subsiduries, will NOT be breaking street dates, due in part to the major fine associated with breaking a street date. It has the potential to close a store, depending on how aggressivly the matter is pursued. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hey, most of you are lucky. We here in Ohio may not even get Brawl on time due to the record snowfall we are expecting, and the massive flooding throughout the state. Besides, its only four more days, and it's not worth someone losing their job over it.

Me too, but that's the day my spring break ends. I wanna get in more brawl than that.

That's during the weekend my spring break starts, so lotsa brawl when I have nothing to do (that's alot better than sitting around doing nothing, or playing melee)

well even if the store doesn't sell it early, at least its distracting you enough to make the time go by quicker. you get to look at it one day at a time!

On the other hand its made me think more about the game because today I was wondering if they would get it in and sell it to me today. lol So I guess it sort of helps but not THAT much. lol

The bad news is I have a Calculus test on Monday instead of tomorrow like it was supposed to be. I had already planned to skip school on Monday because there would be nothing to do that day and I could spend my time playing Brawl. No go now though. So now I'm disappointed that I didn't get it today AND I am going to barely get to play it for a few days after I get it on Sunday.
