CRT Channel Scan

I have a Magnavox CRT that needs to do a progressive channel scan every time it is turned on. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem before? I'd love to find a way to skip this process as it takes a while.

I forget if there's an answer for this because I've only encountered it like 2-3 times, but you could try interrupting it by pressing one of the change channel buttons up/down or by hitting the tv/video button.
