I had a money match with DarkSonic at WATO and I didn't do too badly but I think crouch canceling is my biggest problem in this matchup. I'm a brawl player so I instinctively DI most attacks but this really gets me ***** in this matchup especially when I get Utilted.

I'd appreciate any general critique though I'd primarily like to know where obvious crouch canceling positions are. I have really good reactions and memory so if I watch the videos over and memorize spacing positions I can fit it in as I practice.

In general I have technical consistency issues and I'm too aggressive near the edge etc...

Any other kind of advice is appreciate once again. Thanks.

in general:

double laser from the edge more and then shine/ftilt/buffer roll depending on spacing. Also fast fall your lasers. too many high ones.

be weary of what you do after standing from a knockdown, or after a tech roll. you spotdodged a lot. this marth didnt seem you be punishing you for it, but other marths live for it.

dont ever laser->fsmash when your opponent is grounded. you will get grabbed and lose your stock for doing that. it can be good if you do it in a combo or as they are falling tho.

when you're on the stage and marth is on the ledge, don't just retreat to the centre and let him get back on. you did this a lot. either stay near the ledge and keep lasering, wait for him to get up and laser/grab/ftilt. or bair or anything, but keep pressure on him in those situations

specific times:
first match 2:45- fsmash works after that roll for free kills. just fyi
same thing at 0:11 3rd match

second match:
0:09- CC that fair.
1:23- CC

3rd game:
0:15- going straight up was your only chance. in fact, goign straight up is good in lots of situations cuz many marths are lazy and just try to counter.
0:37- cc either the bair, or the uptilt, or both, or atleast shield after the bair.

4th match:
1:12- CC'ing pretty much any of the moves between the bair that you spotdodged and up until the dair would have worked out well for you.

5th match:
0:10- anytime marth throws you to onto a platform, especially if it happens to be a top platform (but this wasnt), and goes for a nair, you can CC->shield. the first hit of the nair is incredibly weak and cc->shield works, even if you do it from a laying animation (just hold down and shield)

hope this helps, keep it up.
