Yeah I'll help you out. If you plan to do ledge stalls I'd recommend not jumping so high. Instead, let go of the ledge, drop down, jump back up and sweet spot with your jump. Its a lot safer. Work on your spacing. You got shield grabbed after using your bair at 1:40. Your bad spacing on your dair got you punished 1:51. So you have to be careful. Work on your ledge hop wavelands. You have to do it faster so you can keep your invulnerable frames. In order to do it that fast, simply grab the ledge, press down and wavedash normally, as if you was on the stage. I promise you'll retain your invulnerable frames that way.

Match #2

Watch your recovery. You got extremely predictably with the sweet spot fire fox to ledge hop side B. At 3:57 you ran right in front of Peach, with invulnerable frames, then you ran away. You totally threw away your grab opportunity. When you return to the battlefield with invulnerable frames after death you have to abuse the brief amount of invincibility that you have. In that scenario that Peach had limited options because she couldn't touch you. She would have either rolled, spot dodged, or remained in her shield. So try not to throw away easy grabs/up smash opportunities. Keep your eye on your opponent and react accordingly.

At 4:06 you didn't apply any edge guarding pressure whatsoever. Your opponent had a lot of damage and you were at 0% so there wasn't any reason to be afraid. But you got a kill like two seconds later, so I'll let it slide. The way you lost your second your second last stock was just silly. Why did you run back into that corner? All you had to do was laser camp and wait for the stage to change back into a flat surface.

Good job on the edge guard. Well done. Oh and good job removing Peach's second last stock. Now that's what I am talking about. That right there was your potential.

Overall you aren't bad. You just have to slow down and pay attention. Do you watch your opponent when you play? If not then get into the habit of doing so. Keep your eyes on your opponent and your character in your peripheral. Your sweet spotting was pretty good, but you made a lot of predicable follow ups. Just keep practicing.

Yeah, I watch my opponent, but I don't really analyze him that well. Forward told me I should start playing off my opponent more so I can get into the habit of punishing their mistakes/reading them rather than making things happen.

Does that sound good?

Yeah, totally. Its all about watching and reacting. Some players actually "condition" their opponents into doing what they want. For example, let's say you have an opponent who spot dodges a lot. Let's say you are Marth and you dash dance close to your opponent. They spot dodge (keeping in mind you are watching them, of course) and you run in and grab. Later on in the match your opponent rolls onto the stage in front of you. You keep still, and they spot dodge. You forward smash them, they die. So conditioning is when you notice your opponent's habits, and you purposely put them in a situation that forces them to use that habit and you punish them for it.

But melee is so much more then that. At the end of the day, you simply watch your opponent and react. You know there is lag after Marth's forward smash, or a missed cancel for a SHFFL, or when Peach reaches for a turnip, ect. These are small things/opening you look out for and punish.
