From what I remember, you both have no concept of spacing. Alex needs to work on that especially being Marth and all.

You throw out too many moves without purpose, and dash attack too often.

Work on your spacing, dash attack less.

Most Falco mains choose a different colored Falco as their secondary over a Sheik, so as to secure matchup advantage. Sheik is also good for the Falco-main rest periods between carpal tunnel flareups.

Sheik's best backup characters (if you want backup characters at all) are Fox and Peach IMO. They're the best characters against ICs, who are her worst MU IMO. Fox is also conveniently good vs Puff, so if you don't wanna do it with Sheik then he gives you that option. Peach has some strong CPs vs spacies that are really convenient for Sheik too (hooray for FD).

i would say marth is also a decent backup also for your second peach reason, soft counter spacies, (maybe have an easier time with icies?) plus you dont have to worry about the marth ditto cuz you have a shiek.

plus the whole grab/techchase/calculating playstyle compares to shiek (altho overall this possibly hinders him as a backup due to the fact that you cant pull a 180 on your opponent)

My comment was made addressing why there aren't any Falco/Sheik players. She benefits more from a different secondary (provided you want a secondary; Sheik can solo a tournament without much hassle).

I might watch the second video but you're fighting Y.Link and for about 35 seconds you landed 7 grabs and did nothing with any of them. Dash grab is easier for CG btw.

edit: Also, we missed Rob$ (not to be confused with Bob$).

yeah so does everyone in texas x.x

caveman/rob$ were like the heroes of our state

edit: also i just wanted a link to falco matchup info cuz all i ever find is shiek vs shiek and shiek vs falcon

anyway to stay on topic, i think you should practice chaingrab vs roy, like a firend if you can, if i remember correctly you can chaingrab him like forever and its like oen of those chaingrabs that is always possible and also requires good timing, so it seems like a good way to practice.

Actually IMO I think the CG is something you should learn like right before a tourney

They're all fairly simple. Learning the core basics are more important IMO.

Dash grab for all your CGs toaster tan. Except for DIs that put them right next to you obv.

I think one of the most important things to practice is getting on the edge as quickly as possible, whether its wavedashing or reverse needle etc.

i always feel like i do this a little too slow when the pressure is on

obviously shiek has a godly edge game at slightly lower than kill %s while edge guarding and missing a gimp could cost you the game.

also knowing the lengths of heavy chars tech rolls and stuff doesnt hurt.

dsmashing out of a run and wavedashing oos

and never forget how much **** the fair is

I think you should use more sh fair and bair. It felt like the primary option you attacked with from SH was aerial needles. While aerial needles are good, they're not really as flexible a tool as her fair and bair. I also detected some awkward jumping behaviours and I'm not sure whether you're just poor at short hopping or if you actually want to full jump that much. Generally, being in the air for that long is bad (especially vs Y.Link).
