So um... this was not my best battle. Not very good at all. I realize now that I could have almost SPAMMED counter and pretty much dominated, but this vid does a fairly alright job of demonstrating my tech skill, even if I got pwned.

Try pulling off some throws and do uptilts.

Stop charging in with predictable shuffles, but this doesn't mean you can't.

You have a good Marth to start with. Include some very advanced skills and you're good to go!

Grab more and chain grab falco. you get lots and lots of damage on falco with it.
Don't counter and fsmash and dash attack so much. while falco is one of the characters that it's more acceptable to use countering against, you clearly were not doing it right. fsmash has a lot of lag, so you'll want to avoid using it too much against fast characters. Dash attack is just really laggy and punishable.
Don't edeguard with the fair like that, stay on the stage and dtilt, fsmash, ftilt, b, etc., or grab the edge and ledgehop a bair, nair, or dair.
you clearly can dashdance and wd, use it to mix up your approach
don't shield grab falco so much. your opponent didn't look like that good of a falco, but good falcos really can mess you up when you try to shield grab them (it doesn't work so well against space animals).
use fair more than nair. against space animals, fair is often a safer choice because of its speed.

Ok...I think I can help you out. The smashers who made the previous comments are right, so I'd listen to them. How long have yah been playing Marth? I can tell you don't quite have a full understanding on your characters limits. I noticed you made some risky moves off the stage that almost got you killed, plus you didn't sweetspot the stage with your Up B. But fear not, practice makes perfect. Before mastering the l-cancel, play with Marth a bit more in training mode, understand his limits. You know like *hang onto to the edge, jump away and do a bair and make it back safely.* If you want me to go into more detail, let me know. But once you *understand how Marth's moves work, then master the l-cancel. All the best. Keep it up; you are on your way. Don't turn back now...you CAN do it! ^^

Hehe I've actually been playing for like... years... I just recently found the whole "advanced techniques" scene a bit ago, which is why I'm not very good :). I'm not completely sure why I wasn't sweetspotting the edge, as I usually do this instinctively. I was having an off day, but it's still like my only recent video so I put it up.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I'm definitely gonna be spending more time in training mode.
