Hello everyone, I have a vid here of me and my doubles partner OMNI (no...not the one you're thinking of) going at it in two friendlies. Both matches are on one single video.

Keep in mind that I don't normally use D-throw at an excessive amount as is shown in the video. I was only using it to practice my waveshining (strange, but a comfortable way for me). I realize that Fox/Falco's D-throw is easily teched out of, but that's where a tech chase -> U-smash comes into play ^.^

I will, of course, use an U-throw -> Uair as is preferred for Fox in an actual tourny match so please refrain from mentioning anything about the D-throw.

Anyway...please give constructive criticism (on both of us) and enjoy the vid. ^.^

Dont use the down grab cuz its useless if ur opponent DI's it right, and dont use down tilt as much its practically useless
I'm aware of the faults the D-throw has. (please read my first post regarding D-throws)

I wouldn't call the D-tilt useless though, it has some combo potential. >.>
Also as an alternative to the shine, It can be connected from a nair pretty nicely in the lower percentages (although I'm aware that many prefer to shine out of the nair) if your opponent isn't waiting for you with a shieldgrab. I'll take your advice though, and try not to make a habit of it because I know spam = predictable. I will also throw in a jab here and there to prevent a possible shield grab or to create a grab/combo opportunity.

I'm still working on a few more things (being able to waveshine/drillshine at will, etc.), but I think i'm pretty good on mindgames/spacing (Dash dance FTW). Overall, would you say it's a pretty solid Fox as of now? :)

*and thanks for commenting ^.^*

I just watched the first minute of the vid and I can give you this few tips:
1.at least you got and idea of what techs are but you should practice more if want to be come good with fox, so master the techs speacially shuffles into waveshines and your short hop (you were missing your short hops with full jumps right?).
2.you need to spam more your laser because laser owns everyone >_> exept falco of course.
3. Down tilt can be good but not at low percentages, for example nair>d tilt>uair is good but not at low percentages. You can triple nair link at 40% or so, personally i prefer nair> up tilt but that doesn't work if link goes too much away from you.
4.Practice to Cancel your aerials into shines when your hitting someone's shield because that link could have done an Up b out of his shield. Master the JC grab out of your shine so you can get a freegrab everytime you hit someone with a shuffled aerial + shine.

Just practice >_>

I watched about half the video.
1. More lasers would be nice. The damage really adds up.
2. I'll agree that dtilt isn't completely useless, but there are definitely better options. As mentioned in the above post, nairs are pretty useful.
3. Can you waveshine? Link likes getting waveshined infinitely
4. Practice. It seems you were messing up some of your technical stuff pretty often. Practice -> better consistency and control.

Yeah I can waveshine, but I have yet to be able to do it at will, let alone connect it with a JC grab or other option. I usually do spam the SHDL, but whenever I face a link or falco, I get a little hesitant to for some reason. You guys are right though, I need to keep practicing every technical aspect that I can't really pull off as easily. I'll work on it and I'll hopefully have another vid up to show any improvement that I make. ^.^

@yes Oskurito I can short hop with no problem, I just messed up a few times is all. It happens with pressure in my case. Ill just need to practice connecting my shuffles with waveshines to further combo my opponent like you guys said.

(Things to Practice - Waveshine at will, Drillshine at will, shuffled nair to waveshine)

I understand know... you were nervous. When you're nervous your consistency with the techs is reduced in an amount X, where X is the magnitude of your nervousness

Some tips against projectile spamers:

1.Shine their projectiles if you are not close to them (not always). If you are against link or peach try to grab their projectiles (the bomb or turnip).
2.Remember that you can interrupt any projectile with your jab attack. Try it! you can stop samus's missiles with jabs! and even her full charged shot if you have insane timing. You can stop most projectiles with your jab if you have good timing but is risky.
3.If your close to them don't shine their proyectiles they'll probably use a nair to outpriorize their reflected projectile or make a full jumped fast falled aerial to hit you in your lag. Only do it if your facing samus and if you think you'll surprise him then go for it.
4.You can use a full jumped nair, is very useful but chances are your opponent may predict you an CC into an attack and start a combo.
5.Yeah falco is annoying! I lose against falcos here in my country, thats why I counter pick with my own falco
6. If they're annoying too much with their projectiles use yours>hit and run> and run and shoot some lasers grab them>up throw and don't follow> into more gayness.
