Critique my falco!

Just generally, whenever you spike someone into the ground, like vs roy dreamland at 1:18, think of doing jab->dsmash. It pwns.

I never played melee competitively, but you look pretty good.

One thing that jumps at me in that first match is I didn't see a single tech... need to work on that.

Laser to grab moar. It ***** and stuffs. Also, nair-shine is a great approach too. All I saw was DAIR DAIR, I LIEK DAIRZ. So, yeah, just try to mix it up more, and throw in more dash-dances and tricksies. Good stuff though, keep up the good work.

yeah, I view the dair as an incredibly broken move so I tend to use it a lot
and what should I use with falco's grab? I usually uthrow->nair but I really hate falco's grabs in general, so I usually never use them
I don't really do soft nair combos across the map at mid percents, but I'm trying to work it into my game. And the nair approach I def need to use more
I know better than to try to dash dance and trick ripple because he's far better at spacing and manipulation than I am, so whenever I do that I'll eat an fmash or some other silly ****

Idk y but i can't find that kirby stadium in your first match anywhere. I've played it before but its just not on my maps, isn't it supposed to be a default one?

Anyway... err, I'm not a falco main, but grabs are free damage. Don't shy away from them. If I'm at a loss of things to do, I'll uthrow>Bair, but occaisonally fthrow/bthrow is a great setup for edge guards (plus, Fthrow just looks badass <.<). Dthrow tech chases can work too , especially with SHL's, or if your opponent won't tech, dthrow>jab>regrab or Dthrow>Dsmash to beat the easy DI behind trick. Etc etc

Yeah, usually you try to spike 'em but they're not close enough to the edge so they go into the stage right? jab ->downsmash.
Anything else and they'll prolly get back up b4 the hitbox comes out. A shine would hit if in range but then it'll pop 'em back up standing up, meaning really high air dodge or jump that makes 'em uncombo-able.

i already knew about all of the options listed by that video out of a grab, I usually dthrow->SHL chase, but meh..thanks for the link anyway, I guess I can try to do sneaky bthrows now

yeah. sadly I'm one of the best active melee people over there (and I'm above average at BEST) so I try to help the "brawl kids" who troll into melee sections looking for help. Zjiin and J666 know far more than me, so you should look to them for advice, too. Other than that most of what people say at AiB about melee is just their "opinion" or what they're convinced is right and usually isn't.

Yea i went over there just yesterday from gamebattles. I was going to start posting on the forum but then realized that this forum has 10x as many users and the melee section literally has 200-300x as many threads. The only benefit with that site is it has a brawl ladder which is much more active than GB's and i might enter if i get really bored.
