Crash: Why not?

My question to you is: Why is Kirby's FS Cook instead of Crash? I think the reasons speak for themselves. Please discuss.

Crash is just a generic explosion. At least Cook is a bit more interesting.

Actually, it probably has to do with the fact that the Cook ability is more humorous, which follows a lot of the style of SSBB. Obviously Crash would have been the fan favorite.

I would've loved to see Kirby crashing and wiping out the majority of the field as his final smash. I think it could've been pretty cool. I'm actually not a fan of the cooking FS. It just makes me wonder how devastating it could possibly be, compared to all the other final smashes. I'm sure it'll be great, but still.

Kirby creates a giant explosion which wipes the field clean of enemies.

In the original version he flies like a madman all over the screen while the explosion happens.

Cook Kirby is more original...but i would have liked it if it was mic kirby, but i wouldn't know how would it work.

now that i see wat ur talking about, yeah, the cook thing seems like something they just threw together, unless is does a lot of damage and/or is unavoidable, i think the Crash thing would be sooooo much better.

Crash would've been perfect. In big stages (like New Pork City) it doesn't have to take up the whole screen. A large chunk of it yes, but not all of it, that way it's not too cheap. Really. D:

... although they should really have more big stages so that there could be SOME methods of escape. Most of the stages are just basic short platforms with shortER ones floating above it. At least Bridge of Eldin is long...

It wouldn't work. Unless you could use it only once. Otherwise you could use it once to pwn ur opponents and then save the final two blasts for after they recover.

As for crash, I'd say too close to other final smashes (Ike, Samus, etc.). Although Cook Kirby I admit seems too ordinary, but maybe that's just me being too familiar with the Kirby game series.

How about Magic Kirby?

Crash Kirby would of been fine, but it lakes the finess and true style of Kirby. Also, big explosions are a dime a dozen, making items outta cookin' your enemies: Priceless. ^_^

Really, which is more Kirby like? Giant Explosion or food?

Mic and Crash woulda been a bit overpowerful don't you think. You wouldn't be able to dodge it and it would pretty much wipe you out like Samus' FS where in Samus' case you could dodge it, and same with all other FS that did this amount of damage. So Cook was also the more alanced choice imo.

Yeah, Crash wouldn't have been able to be a Final Smash without either being a completely different move or ridiculoiusly overpowered.

Mike would of been cool though.

mic would either have to be waaaaaaay overpowerful... or not strong enough to be a FS. I don't think 3 blast final smash would be fair on other characters. And kirby doing the cook ability was a good idea, it kinda fits his character...

Crash would be simple, I like cook better. I expected it and yet I didn't. Cook is more unique and is more interesting in general.

Wow, this topic is still here? Huh.

What I was thinking is he does his familiar jumping flipping thing, and pounds into the ground. Where he hits, a Bonzai Bill (Peach's Castle) explosion triggers. Same size, damage knockback, etc. His flipping animation gives warning, and anyone within range (Who's able, on their feet, not in the middle of a move, etc.) can run away for a moment. The explosion's big, but not massive. It helps to unnerf kirby by punishing anyone picking on him, but keeps it balanced.
And as for it being "too similar" to other FSs:
Yes, it does damage.
Yes, it does it via a huge boom of some sort (Mario, Samus, Ike)
But it's in a circle, like a huge Bongo Beat.
