Does anyone get this "bug" where you take the last stock from a cpu enemy for exemple in a team match and the cpu comes still back to life even when the announcer calls "cpu player defeated"?

I think it may be 'share stock'. It allows a player (or CPU) to come back if defeated as long as their teammate has more than one stock left.

CPUs have newly acquired the ability to sharestock, and in my experience, will always do so at the first available moment.

I swear I've done multiple 8-player matches with CPUs and heard the "computer player defeated" when all of them were still alive. And they weren't team battles either.

How? Is it a button press, or exclusive to 2v2 or something? I've been on a 4 player team, and I lost all stocks. One of my team mates had two stocks, but it didn't share stock. I pressed every button on the controller, but nothing happened. :/

Press A and B together (or w/e your Attack and Special are assigned to) after you're out in order to take a stock from a teammate and come back. This has been a secret feature since the very first Smash Bros on the N64, though the inputs are different for N64 and Melee.

In the 8-Player Smash game mode, CPU teams may share stock lives with each other whenever they're eliminated. This is not a bug, as you can share stock lives in the older Smash Bros. installments as well.
