Cpt. Falcon's Combos............

I was wondering if there is any way to escape certain Falcon combos like:

f-throw>u-air>fastfall u-air again>fulljump u-air> etc. to up B.
1-3 u-smashes>several u-airs>up B

I'm no SSB expert but I think Falcon can do this kind of cheap KO combo to almost every character besides maybe Kirby/Jiggly/Samus and I try to DI out of it but I can't. As you can imagine its pretty boring sitting there knowing you will die and can't do anything about it.

I've resorted to using Kirby against Falcon b/c then I can be cheap as hell back w/ spikes or something simple like:

down air>4-5 u-tilts>u-smash> d-air>f-smash or something to KO.

If it's a good/decent Falcon I can only beat them with Pika/Kirby/and sometimes Fox but w/ Fox he can do his gay u-smash chain to u-air to up-B. It's much more fun for me to use Fox or Link but his combos are just too good on them..........any advice?

I choose between 5 options:

1.- Don't get caught by his chain :p...
2.- Be Falcon and do the same combo on him xP!
3.- Fox's Laser SPAM > Falcon(maybe).
4.- Complain about how cheap and gay is that combo.
5.- Ask someone else but Jaime because he doesn't know nothing about how to escape from that combo xP.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

ok nvm that xP, try to DI up+oposite direction of his uair kick so he might eventually throw you out of his chain or miss the next hit, that's what i do but not always works since the other player my notice this and avoid you from DIing out.

Hmmmm so I guess I better just stay Kirby/Pika then? I'll take it from you b/c I've heard you're good so I guess you really can't escape that combo. And people call Kirby cheap..............thank god for Kirby, the Falcon slayer.

Ant-d made a vid about DI'ing down from the juggle, but it seemed really hard.
It's probably easier to just avoid the whole thing, heh. Stay in the air more and shuffle lots.

You escape it from DI ing down at low percentages/lower heights , at high percentage its easier to DI at the direction the hit sends you. If your being comboed at the height of just below a full first jump your screwed.

Fox gun spam and SHuair is the best bet for fox. It is harder to get caught by falcon's starters if you can shdl, shsl, and shuair at will. but if you do get caught:

Vs fwd throw DI as far away as possible

Vs fair any direction can work

vs uair mix up DI between towards and away

vs uair after the second jump DI up, and towards if you can (otherwise you get caught it up B)

vs upsmash try to DI behind

NEVER NEVER DI downwards though vs uair, because that has the chance to set you up nicely for the dair spike, and if you get in the habit you might be over the edge and end up right below them to get spiked.

glad to know you get hope from trying to DI off one XD... But yeah if you play keyboard you'll know throw DI = impossible.

That's why johnny throws me ****ing 5 times before hitting me when he plays falcon.

you cant DI out of grabs correct? but you can DI into grabs, ie falcons upB if you mash that direction you'll be able to grab a person further away from the actual grab range

i remember you telling me that a while ago

yeah, if you mash the stick in the direction of the opponent when you up-b with falcon, you can reach them even if they're a little out of the normal range. it's really useful when recovering after di-ing into the edge from an opponent's attack. i think it's just with falcon's up-b though, as far as i know. i don't think it works for just regular grabbing.

yea i think my falcon got a lot better just from learning that. normal grabbing can only be "extended" by counter grabbing, when someone tries to grab you but they are just out of range. however if you grab when they are leaning forward to grab you, their hit box is moved forward, therefore they will miss you but you'll be able to grab them.

A good Falcon can take advantage of wherever you DI. So your best bet is to not get hit in the first place.

Is it just me or is Cpt. Falcon pretty much the gayest character in the game? Yeah Pika and Kirby have some simple u-tilt spam combos that are cheap but Falcon's grabs into u-airs are really inescapable if the player is decent.

I can beat other characters but lately I am getting beaten pretty badly by Falcon even when I use Kirby/Pika/Mario.

What do you do against a camping/grabby Falcon? I have to try 10x harder to beat people when they use Falcon unless they're terrible. Which character is best against him? I am sick of getting grabbed over and over into u-airs into a free KO.

CF is only good if you PRACTICE with him. People who have no idea what theyre doin usually can only spam uair, and it is REALLY easy to DI out of and easy avoid the starter (fgrab or usmash). since these two are basically CF's only starting moves, you can detect when a CF is going to start a combo using one of the two. however if you want to counter CF a good way is spam projectiles

Yeah thats exactly what I mean........a grab or two or a d-air into an u-smash and you're already at the perfect pcts. to be combo'ed and its not like its that hard to dash grab or d-air into u-smash or just u-smash.

Nobody has told me how to DI out of Falcon's combos yet........I try DI-ing away, DI-ing up, DI-ing down, but if they follow DI its so easy to keep the u-air going. I was wrong about Kirby and Samus too.........they're easy as hell to combo, just need to mix up the aerials to get them to the right pct...........so I guess Falcon ***** everyone. Maybe Jiggly is best vs. Falcon?

Falcon is my third favorite character in this game and I have a lot of fun doing his combos. I recommend you go on youtube and type in Capitan Tavo combo vid and click the first one
