Counterpicking Stages

We all know what stages are good for Sheik, like FoD. And stages that are bad for Sheik, like Mute City. However, I don't know what stages are good for Sheik and bad for her various matchups. Lately I've been wondering the best way to counterpick/ban my opponent. I've been taking a lot of people to Brinstar lately, but I don't know if that's the best decision. Since I know a lot of people don't read entire posts before posting themselves I'll summarize everything:

What are the best stages for Sheik to counterpick against her various opponents? I'd like to know the answer for all 26 characters, but at least Top-Mid Tier.

For example:

I think the best stage for Sheik to counterpick against Ice Climbers is Brinstar because the lava forces them to get in the air and that makes them easy targets for Sheik. I like to take them to any of the standard platform stages so that I can needle camp on the platforms. Against Ice Climbers I always ban Final Destination because I have nowhere to go to avoid grabs.

So, what do you like to ban/counterpick against other characters (including dittos)?

So far I've got:

Character- Counterpick/Ban

Bowser- FD, Pokemon Stadium/Yoshi's Story, Jungle Japes
Captain Falcon- Brinstar, FoD/FD, Pokemon Stadium
Doc-Yoshi's Story, FoD/FD, Corneria
Falco- FoD, Brinstar/FD, Jungle Japes
Fox- Brinstar, Battlefield/FD, Green Greens
Ganondorf- FD, Poke Floats/Battlefield, MK2
Ice Climbers- Brinstar, Rainbow Cruise/FD, Corneria
Jigglypuff- Yoshi's Story, Green Greens/Mute City, DL64
Kirby- Yoshi's Story, FoD/Mute City, Brinstar
Link- Pokemon Stadium, Battlefield/MK2, DK64
Luigi- FD, Jungle Japes/Yoshi's Story, FoD
Mario- Yoshi's Story, Battlefield/FD, Pokemon Stadium
Marth- FD, Brinstar/Yoshi's Story, FoD
Mewtwo- Yoshi's Story, FoD/DK64, DL64
G&W- Yoshi's Story, Battlefield/Mute City, FoD
Ness- Yoshi's Story, Green Greens/Corneria, DL64
Pichu- FD, Pokemon Stadium/Corneria, Green Greens
Pikachu- FD, Pokemon Stadium/Corneria, Green Greens
Roy- FD, Yoshi's Story/MK2, DK64
Samus- Yoshi's Story, Green Greens/DL64, Pokemon Stadium
Sheik- Whatever, FD/DK64, FD
Yoshi- ?, ?/?, ?
Young Link- Corneria, Poke Floats/FD, DL64
Zelda- FD, Battlefield/?, ?

That's what I'm thinking so far. Does anybody have anything to add/change?

IC I take to rainbow cruise obvious reasons I ban FD because ic are gay on FD

Falco FoD because less use of laser Ban FD lasers

Fox I like to take to FD cant chain Uairs off platforms and I like alot of room to think and approach because fox is rough for sheik. Ban Onett

Marth I take to FD because I like to make him approach me with needles. Typically ban yoshis

CF just keep him from having alot of room Ban FD

Just some of my input those are the macthes I do the most

I know this is pretty old but im bored and i didnt see one of these on the first page...

for sheik against fox...you definitely want somewhere with a high ceiling, the highest i found was dreamland...that place is huge. ALSO, pick Kongo Jungle/DK64 whatever it's called because of the HIGH ceiling

even though it has a low ceiling, it also has really small boundaries all around so id also maybe go to Yoshi's Story against fox for techchasing stuff, and also green greens is really good

ban Corneria against fox with sheik

sheik against falco...I would go to corneria because you can be really gay with needles there/you can do kdj combo (dashattack -> upsmash) and kill falco at like 80 percent off the top

falco really has a bad "killing up" game so corneria should be pretty good I guess

sheik against falcon...I would pick mute city or somewhere small like Yoshi's Story

I think FD is a bad idea against falcon because he can combo so well, and on YS you can techchase really well esp. on the platforms

sheik against marth...anywhere except Yoshi's Story

sheik against samus..I'd say either Mute City or Onett to take away recovery/mute city coz his up b is so laggy that when he comes up from under the stage you can get a free dsmash/grab/etc

sheik against peach...YS might be kinda risky coz of dsmash but if you can predict it then its all good...low ceiling etc makes it easier to kill her, FoD is alright too

don't go to dreamland against peach

FoD is so good because of the platform heights. They're great for titls and JC usmashes. The stage is small, but not as cramped as Yoshi's Story. Recovery is fun because of the walljump ability when coming from below. There's not a ton of room off the level so fair kills are easy. The ceiling isn't that high so uair kills are easy too. Aerials are easy and effective to do off the platforms. Especially things like waveland off platform->bair. Needle cancel and platform needle cancels are really beneficial on FoD too.

I used to hate FoD, but it's a monstrous Sheik stage. Needle camping + tilt **** all day long, it's insane. Wavelanding to aeriels or into tilts is sick. I love it v floaties like Peach and Jiggs.

FD is horrendous v a good Marth. They will juggle and tech chase you all day long and you have nowhere to go.

Fountain of Dreams is my favorite level to play on. It looks so beautiful and has amazing music and the water effects and I can gush forever on how awesome it is. It's also my favorite stage to do well on in play. Small level = less chance to recover. Low ceiling = U-Air kills floaties fast. Platforms are amazing with Sheik here. It's also pretty easy to guard the edge.

FD is good against Marth imo because it gives you more places to go than other stages. It's so big I find it easier to DI out of stuff without worrying about getting tilted through a platform. I'd rather go to FD than PS against a Marth.

What do you think about Battlefield and Jungle Japes against Marth?

FoD is good because of the platforms, her tilts easily go through them except for dtilt obviously.

also needle cancelling/camping on platforms is really good

I wouldn't choose battlefield against Marth because of getting hit through platforms. I think japes is really good for sheik against marth. The stage can really complicate marth's recovery but sheik doesn't have any major problems with the stage.

I ALWAYS go to Battlefield againts spacies, because their recovery is very predictable there and most of the time if their off the stage they wont get back on. You can't grind up againts the stage and sweetspot the ledge with fox or falco.

FoD is great to, just learn how to use the platforms at certain heights, if you're fighting floaties like peach/samus take them to FD (Most people would disagree with this) but up-airs kill there, and needle edge guarding.

How are Green Greens, Brinstar, and that DK stage (I forget the name) with the three platforms and Klaptrap?

Isai uses sheik really effectively on Poke Floats. Someone that's had more sheik experience than me should do more analysis on this map for sheik.

Also, what are sheik's main advantages on Brinstar? I've always known Battlefield is really good for sheik, especially vs. spacies.

Isai uses sheik really effectively on Poke Floats. Isai has Poke Floats down to a science and does well with basically any character there.
Fixed.

I'm fairly new to playing sheik so I don't know how good the stage in general is for her (its small sides should certainly be a plus, though I don't know if that'd make up for the lack of grabbable edge), but that stage just belongs to Isai. I watched him take people there using everyone from yoshi to ganon as well as his normal mains at FC. He just does well on that stage in general.
