I've had this actually happen in CLoud dittos. I mean, not into the sky but offstage trying to recover and using the opposing clouds up to live while he failed to make it lol

I feel like the Diddy + Cloud or Peach + Cloud or maybe Mega Man + Cloud team would work a little bit better, cloud can sort of glide toss items and they would all 3 be good at helping his recovery and he would help theirs a bit too
