These are a couple of vids from a money match I had at a tournament called Tipped Off 2. I had only been playing Zelda for a couple of weeks before this tournament(and not even that much :|), so I was still trying to figure out what works and what does'nt.

vs. Evil E($20 Money Match)
These are the Zelda parts.

Round 1: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZK6X0nEiNrw
Round 4: http://youtube.com/watch?v=DqwuQRYeMmc

Comments: I transform into Sheik in the second match. lol. I won the MM btw.

About 1 week later after Tipped Off 2. Local Smashfest at Menthol's house:
Comments: This is before the creation of this thread. So I know how to JC Nayru's Love out of my Shield now and my accuracy with getting to the ledge has went up as well.
Anways..critique my matches please. ^__^

Very nice Zelda. Here's what I noticed.
-You have a very good sense of when it's safe to use the fsmash. When it doesn't land, you don't suffer punishment.
-You have the timing down well for her lightning kicks, as well as the spacing.
-Nice edgeguarding against Fox. I like how in 2:08 you force him to make the landing and punish him for it. That's what every smart player should do against Zelda, but they never seem to realize that. ...Well, only the Zelda players.
- I especially like your resilient edgeguard with Nayru's Love at 3:08. Earlier, he hit you and you hit him, allowing him another chance to return. You followed with a quick tech, and platfrom drop, and Nayru's Love to block his FireFox. Brilliant.
-Nice grab shakes. You must be really good at mashing buttons and rotating sticks.

Here's just a bit of advice then:

-Learn to JC Nayru's Love out of your shield. This works wonders against Fox, and is a better solution than JC > Lightning Kick when the opponent is too close to sweetspot. Good job on the landed JC Lightning Kicks though.
Check out this video of me vs a Fox. I use this a lot, and you'll be able to see it here. I apologize for the poor quality- I shot it with my digital camera, but you can still see what's going on. >>> http://youtube.com/watch?v=Tms3qYU_9QA
-Just in case you didn't know, Nayru's Love stops and damages Fox Illusion. Keep it in mind when edgeguarding an opponent sure to use that. I don't play Fox, but I've spoken with a Fox player who says that the illusion takes you further than a completely horizontally directed Fire Fox.
-You edgeguarded CF with Din's Fire. Don't do that. You could have gotten there quickly enough to edgeguard with a lightning kick. CF is very vulnerable to them when he comes above the stage level using his upB to return.
-Watch out for that knee. CF can get over to you quickly from wherever he is on the stage, to edgeguard, so be wary of that. I would used an air dodge to return to the stage that time.

Sorry I can't critique your Sheik- I'm horrible with her. Overall, very good for 2 weeks practice. You earned your $20, mate.

-_-

I'm glad you're asking for advice and such Laijin. But... I dunno, I would ask for a MM against your Zelda, but I'm flat broke. How about just playing me in a bunch of friendlies, because Evil E is, to be completely honest, not a good Fox. At all. Fox shouldn't lose to Zelda like that... she's shine comboable, in fact, one of the easiest aside from Link. You should play a better Fox to see just how good you really can get. Wellp: good shiz man as always. See you at the next tournament that we meet up at.

I don't know how to play as Zelda, let alone critique it, but from when I played it at Menthol's Smashfest, it wasn't bad. You're the first one I've ever played that seems to know what it's doing, I guess.

I do reccommend you find some vids playing a better Fox, though.

An example would be (not to sound cocky) the vids that were recorded of myself and you that were recorded at the smashfest. Now, I don't know when SleepyK might get them posted, but yeah.. it'd be nice to look at some vids of you fighting someone better in order to critique you.

Edit: Deleted due to prior misunderstanding.

Funny stuff.

Seriously though, that Fox doesn't even pillar or shine infinite, or drill shine combo, or really shine after his arials at all. Still, not everyone has access to the best players of characters, so that works for me.

I noticed you tried to shield grab a few times, Never do that to a fox unless you happen to shield a laggy move like a Smash attack or a downtilt. Although Zelda seems to have a grab box above her head or something lol, I once grabbed a fox coming down with a down-air and grabbed him right out of the sky lol. As everyone else said, play a better fox. I never got to play against Gerbil in Georgia though :p I was at that tournament in Georgia Last May. GJ on ur crew battle.

HideousBeing again >.>; that link you gave, is a misunderstanding on Tropical Taco's part, He's not that horrible of a falco, and he thought u were talking about him because he didn't read the thread. he skipped ahead, and thought you were critiquing a match I posted.

(THe match I posted in that thread was an example of a thing I do for Falco's Down air), He has nothing to do with the creator of that post.
