Controller malfunction

Right now I'm using a PSX/N64 USB adapter (the transparent blue one that has a LED that lights up green for N64 and red for PSX) with a N64 controller. Once in a while, the analog stick's neutral position changes in the middle of a match. I can get it back to normal by unplugging and re-plugging it back in, but recently it's become more frequent. Anyone know what's wrong and how I can fix it?

it sounds like somethings wrong with you controller try plugging it into a n64 and see if you get the problem.

try to calibrate it at Control Panel first.
