Smash Wii U Controller Broke :(

So, I use a Power A Mini Elite Wii U Pro Controller for Smash. The Left Joystick isn't functioning right. I have to do some more tests but I have a question to you guys. Should I invest in a Wii U Pro Controller from Ebay or invest in a Gamecube Controller and Adapter?

I would probably go with the Wii U Pro Controller since it has an extra shoulder button, which is extremely handy for me since keeping my hand on the Z button on the Gamecube Controller strains my finger, but that's just me. The GC controller has better reaction time since it is directly connected to the gamepad, but if you get the Pro Controller, you really won't notice. The wireless controllers are becoming illegal at tournaments though.
