When you think of the words "World Sin" what images do you get in your head?

I am creating a logo for my band* World Sin, and as creative as I think I can be, I really don't think I'm going to do a great job. Logo/Banner design isn't my forte.

So I'm asking my fellow friends of dA. the interwebs

The entries may be drawn or digital.

If drawn, please no photographs. SCAN IT. I can always 'digitilize' it and make it 'better' (straighter lines, unless thats the purpose of the design, etc.)


The band is Lyrical/Metal/Alternative (or is going to be...)

Currently looking for members.

lulz.... what I hope to make into a band with some work. right now I'm backup vocals/rythm... I don't feel my singing is good enough to be vocals <.< at all... or anywhere close to it...



The winner may be asking what they get? Truth be told, I haven't quite made up my mind... I was thinking our first album free (when its made), or promo stuff (if the band gets a decent starting and we have a good design, you'd get the band shirt with your design on it (optional: With the band's signature on it! (You never know if we'll become famous and that free shirt just turned into a quick $1,000. lol))

Shame, I always wanted to play vocals in a Metal Band, I can do a rhythmic melodic voice and the heavy screeches.

But, a logo... Like the bunnies from AFI?
Hm...
World Sin....

Already used an image similiar to that for my old back "WtmW" that failed epicly. :laugh: don't want to use something almost exactly the same as my previous band.

I want something eye-catching and intriguing.

You know those screaches/yells are horrible for your vocal chords? (Unless you can do it properly, but then it doesn't exactly sound the best..)

But I wish I could get that rythmitic voice D:

Eh, I'm not trying to get anything thats a planet or anything.

Something about planets and anything rock or harder just... looks stupid in my eyes...


I have 2-3 people trying to draw the name "World Sin" for a neat design.

(Sketch, Trace Outline + Mild shading if needed, then I get the work, trace it over in Photoshop and see if I like it)

So if anyones good with drawing words in an abstract (BUT LEGIBLE) manner, thats something you can do. Just try not to do anything to cliche.


But yes, any hard instrumentals + rythmitic voice = auto-win 99% of the time.

And aww :flirty: you like me? :p

I say a healthy combination of rhythmic and heavy is win more so than just one or the other.

I see something more abstract than representative for a logo, something that suits the name, but doesn't define it.
Like a bruised hand on fire.

Blind Sight or World Sin.

4/5 people in our band voted World Sin.

I voted Blind Sight. >_>

Because none of us want a planet in our logo.... (although I'm thinking it may be allowed, so long as it doesn't look earth like... more like a Mar's thing)

The lead and rythm guitar is done. Intro to our first album. Just need to figure out how I want to sing it. :)

Metal / Alternative Rock / Lyrical

We have a few songs that are very very basic instrumentals (they just give 'strength' to the vocals) but we also have more hardcore stuff, and some Rise Against like Rock
