configured dolphin gc controller settings, but game isn't reading it.

so i configured the gamecube controller settings and everything in dolphin, but when i open the actual game. It's not reading the gamecube controller, so i'm just sitting on the home screen. Any clue as to how i can fix this? Please help

Did you ever get this resolved? I can try to help if you didn't.

Are you using the Mayflash adapter, official adapter, or something else? Have you tested the adapter on a Wii U to make sure it isn't defective?
