So there's a lot of information regarding Aerial Flame Choke on the boards, but a lot of it is scattered around the AT sticky and various other threads. I figured it would be a good idea to have it all contained in one place.

Characters are organized alphabetically, with possible followups for each getup option. Assume both the getup attack and getup option are buffered, unless stated otherwise.

Feel free to post in any followups you can find, but make sure to test things carefully to avoid misinformation. The training mode combo counter is unreliable. Make sure you verify that the opponent didn't have time to get shield up.

Huge thanks to @MGK for his research into this.

Quick edit, if D-Smash is under Roll in, it's more than likely turnaround D-Smash. The only exceptions are characters who don't roll through Ganon by rolling in, of which there are very few.

Cool, I feel like Olimar gets hit by Jab out of Aerudo guaranteed, but I don't know for sure.

Just a tip, don't write shield drop ftilt or dtilt, write Out of shield dtilt/smash or whatever move, because a shield drop is when you drop through a platform while still in shield, and it can be a bit confusing

I've noticed a few recurring patterns.
  • Sword Characters tend to have lousy getup attacks
  • Taller Characters tend to roll further away, but are more vulnerable to SH F-air
  • Shorter Characters have much short rolls, but tend to avoid SH F-air
Furthermore, I'm beginning to think that D-tilt is actually the most valuable followup. You can shield immediately from crouching so you can cover both getup attack and whatever direction they go and normal getup, all possibly on reaction.
