How often do you use completely vertical (Straight up) Up Bs when recovering and have you ever used the extra vertical height for any applications other than recovering?

The only other time I use it is when an enemy is off screen (upper area) on the halberd stage and have about 40% and it usually kills them (even the big characters). But other than that I will ocassionally use it after a uthrow at low percentages.

You stalker, you make me sick!
I can escape from heavier chars w/ it and cancel the landing lag by grabbing the ledge, otherwise no. "escape" essentially means avoid the spacies laser damage.

Do you guys really know what a completely vertical Up B is?

*Completely vertical Up Bs for Mario basically give the same kind of vertical distance Luigi's Up B does*

To do a vertical Up B you smash the control stick back during the "spark" of the startup; this takes some practice to do correctly and if done too early you will simply do an Up B in the opposite direction (Try practicing at 1/4 speed first).

I think it really depends on what's considered the neutral position but I'll edit the title and post to avoid confusion.

*If the neutral position is seen as the center of a circle straight up would be considered 0 degrees, while horizontally right would be 90 degrees and straight down 180 degrees*
