SIDE EVENT
UPDATE: Project M Singles is confirmed for the side event on friday.
We've yet to decide the offical side events for the tournament but there is basically room for two: one on friday and the other on sunday. It's basically all up to which game/format gets the most attention. I'll go ahead and list some possibilities:
1. Melee Low Tiers
2. Melee Crews (it probably doesn't take that much time so it could be played after singles on saturday)
3. Project M Singles
4. Project M Doubles
5. Brawl of some sort (if there are enough Brawl players participating)
6. A universal game tournament (a collection of some hilarious challenges from various games familiar to you)

VENUE AND SLEEPING
There are a few fridges, a microwave and an oven as you'd expect but no stoves. They're all free to use.
Showers will be usable onwards from 23:00 on friday till the end of the tournament.
For friday-saturday night, only people from abroad may sleep at the venue which offically closes at 02:00 for other people who will be housed by the organizers and other volunteers. As for saturday-sunday night, the venue is open throughout the night but the sleeping limit still enforced, so only people from abroad may sleep there but in additon, there are extra 15 spots for people playing late into the night.
MELEE RULES JA FORMAT
The format will unsuprisingly be in style of one round of pools to double elimination bracket whose size is yet to be determined. Tentative pools will be posted at least a few day before the tournament but they may still change slightly in case of impacting players registering late. The pools will be seeded using the finnish seeding points, the finnish PR and most importantly, common sense and knowledge regarding players from abroad.
- 4 Stocks.
- 8 minute time limit.
- Items off.
- Team Attack will be ON.
- Life stealing allowed.
- Bring your own controller.
- Timed out matches will be determined by the remaining number of lives, then percentage of the current stock. In the event of a percentage tie, replay that match. Any Sudden Death match is strictly not to be played.
- Controller Mods, Glitches, and tactics used to stall a match (wall-bombing, rising pound), are banned.
- Wobbling is allowed up to 300%.
- No coaching during a match. Consulting someone between matches is allowed as long as it doesn’t hold up the next match.
- Controller port is determined by Rock Paper Scissors if it can’t be agreed upon.
- Either player may call for a Double Blind character selection for the first match.
- Stage Striking: Players eliminate stages from the Neutral Stage List until only 1 remains, and the players then play the first match on that stage. Players strike stages in P1 P2 P2 P1 order.
- Advanced Slob Picks: Loser may choose the next stage or select to go random. The winner may then change their character, followed by the loser.
- Such Modified Dave's Stupid Rule That I Don't Even Know Anymore: No player can counterpick the stage he or she last won on on his own counterpick unless agreed upon by both players.
- For Bo3 sets, each player gets one stage ban.
- For Bo5 sets, there are no stage bans.
- Bo3 Sets in pools and first round in brackets.
- Bo5 Sets in all bracket games after that.
