If you're going to study the game, I find that the combo videos are actually more beneficial than the actual match videos because it really helps represent their mindset and I truly believe aggression is a key factor in fighters (probably in everything for that part) and you can truly see the aggression in combo vids.

I find myself not to study the game enough but just to play play play. I seldom watch videos of greater players but there's a lot to be shown...

sigh I could ramble all day on this...

I don't post very frequently on here but I probably will start. I'm so addicted to this game is not even funny =\

I agree that combo videos are very helpful to study and see that player/character at their best, but I prefer full matches, because they show much more diverse situations that aren't just "HRAR **** COMBO" constantly. This can really help you understand how to play in almost all situations much more effectively.

Combo vids do show you some Potential to shoot for, but only for when you're on the offense. Whatching full matches shows you more of how you can change the pace of the match back and forth and generally shows the skill level of both players more evenly.

matches are probably much more teaching than combo videos, which are good themselves too but mostly for getting ideas for combos, while matches show you actual game play and combos

^^*Plays Shiek.* And Falco Combos Marth Like it's his job. Oh wait, it is. Does that answer your question?

No Marth is not the hardest character to combo, but he can also comboes most of the characters that combo him so you don't see a good Marth getting comboed because he's comboing them.

I'd say that Combo videos are simply for inspiration. Since seeing the character that you want to use totally destroying everything makes you want to really work hard to become like that.

Once you've started playing that character, the match videos show you how you should be approaching, and, like what Sonic Wave said, how you can control the pace and momentum of the match.

That's kind of what happened to my Marth. I watch Kizzu's combo videos, got inspired, then started watching Ken's and Kizzu's and all the other Marth pros in actual matches, so I could see how to play when your opponents actually fight back.

I agree, full videos bring different aspects and situations to the table that are not possible to show in a combo video.
