The 1st place winners will both recieve a cash prize. Runners up will each recieve premium subscriptions (or an alternate prize if they are already premium users). Both videos will also be uploaded to the official Smashboards youtube channel.
In addition, we may use clips from one or more of the top 5 videos to promote competitive smash and to raise public awareness about both Smash and the Smashboards community.
The idea behind the contest was to produce combo videos that really showed the depth and variety of Smash (Brawl, Melee, and yes, even n64) as competitive fighting games with a strong community behind them. To that end, the contest has been a huge success.
Thank you to everyone who participated, even if just by voting or discussing the contest in the announcements threads. That kind of participation will help us to plan any future contests we hold.
