Well, you rock, that's for sure. I once fought a Lucas player similar to the Ness you fought there. I was totaly owned by him, lol. I think Lucas is a little harder for Oli anyway, as pikmin don't gimp his PK Thunder at all...

I need to try to score some fair off the ledge more like you do... I usually try the dair and end up missing. Would you say the Dthrow>Upsmash "combo" is easier or harder to pull off than the DThrow>SH>Fair one? I can never seem to pull of the latter against non-CPU opponents. =\

Anyway, nice team work in those 2v2 vids.

Wow, those 2 vs 2 battles were very good. I noticed a bit of friendly fire throughout the battles from the Olimar team, but in spite of that, the teamwork was excellent.

I watched the first Simna one, and I have to say, be more patient with the chain. You could have waited for him to get out of invincibility frames then Uaired or Faired him then chained.

Sorry to say - but that ness is good - but definitely not great imo...however lets look at what you did well first.

Good Things

You had solid control of the ground game on the smash side of game play - good hyphen, relatively good edgeguard throughout, I think that your up b usage got a tad predictable - that's a great move but only when they are unprepared. I though your grab game was well done - I would like to see more pivot grabs but its all gameplay choice.

Things to Improve

First off - where is the pikmin tossing?? I thought that you spent a good amount of time standing when you could toss and then charge, look for different approaches, at the very least it is going to occupy their time. Secondly - The games that you did well were when you did more aerials. A couple games I was waiting for a fair, bair, uair - but it was dsmash, upsmash, from personal experience, this is a hard habit to break - but very much worth it in the end.

I also thought that your tilt game was very lacking - dtilt is an amazing combo starter - ftilt/jabs are both good for close combat when you have a solid down dodging opponent. I also would like to see you work more on the nair - I thought the usage was lacking, Its very effective for attacking from straight above or below and also edge guarding.

Finally - I wish that you would have been more patient on the edge - if you are close enough for a fair or uair - do that, wait, then do your up b. Also, sometimes, its best to simply not go for the edge for safety's sake.

Overall - was a very solid olly - The Things to Improve is Longer than Good Things simply b/c you shouldn't be on the forums to have your ego boosted ...I think with a bit of practice, you can smooth the edges of your olly and be hard to beat!

A couple Latch cancels u may have missed would be peach's ->B was mentioned in my thread, and one i just thought of that would be applicable to gimping Lucas' Pk fire+psi magnet recovery, by latching one to him then when he ->b's the pikmin would take it, but my question is would it cancel him wavebounce momentum? If someone could test that, it would be killer.

I have tried to gimp lucas but its not the same Ness's pk thunder is one big hit but lucas's is multiple hits so your pikmin will fly right off.

But if his thunder does get off, don't grab the edge yourself because it seems like he can easily angle himself to just get back on the stage. Also, can't Olimar grab Ness when he is on the ledge? The list of characters Olimar can do that to is a good one to be familiar with.

IMO, he's the hardest and most underrated of the large characters(Ike,DDD,DK,Snake,Bowser) I find him harder than the rest b/c of his great priority, his fire, and his insane edgegame.
