Colors!

Anyone else here like the idea of a color editor similar to that in Soul Calibur 3? It would allow you to change 3 colors that are part of the costume to whatever you want. Of course, there'd be 4 defaults for each character (red, blue, green, and yellow or whatever the original color was if it is none of these) to allow for team games and 4 player play if you choose not to edit a color. If you do edit a color, it'd be added as an additional 5th color (or more if you fill up your wii's space with that). This'll solve problems of crews fighting over who gets to play what color (if more than 1 play the same character), or of what color to use in ditto matches.

So this only allows changing colors? I'd like that VERY much, always been a fan of customization. And being an artist, I should be able to find some spiffy combinations...

Just don't make it too customizable, or some people will lose to n00bs because they're too blinded by the toilet humor.

This is actually a good idea, considering how some characters are limited in colour (Mewtwo for instance) or could look cool in a colour other characters (I always thought a black armoured Roy would look really awesome).

Not to mention you could personalize your mains this way for online.

i think this is a good idea, but if i had to choose i would definitely say i would rather see alternate costumes even if it meant no customizable colors

Nice idea, but I'm not sure how you mean it should work. Here's my Idea

There are 2 bars with a pointer, like the cpu lv. and handicap lv. One controlls the hue, the other the tint. When you move one, the parts of the character that change color change gradually.

How about it's something like the name registry, like a seperate screen altogether. You go in, select the character, and it gives you option according the that character, like different colors/brightness of individual parts of the outfit (G&W would probably only have options for color and outline). and when you're done, you choose a name for that color scheme. On the character select screen, below the name selection, there could be a color selection option, in which you choose one onf the custom color schemes you have created for that character.

It would be a separate "mode" of the game, under 1-P mode to edit colors, like in SC3. You can only select default and saved color edits in multiplayer mode.

For GW, probably just 2 editable colors (outline and inside). Or, maybe an option to make his "items" (the box, parachute, hammer, etc) a different color, if there were a 3rd editable option.

What if you set all colors to black? You could create "shadow" characters. Who might be cheap in stages with black backgrounds
