Cloud 9 Signs Ally!

Elliot "Ally" Carroza-Oyarce, Evolution 2016 champion and recently crowned eGames Rio winner, has reportedly been signed by Cloud 9.

Fresh off an amazing summer performance, Ally comes into the sponsorship as one of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U's top dogs. Known as the leading Mario specialist in the world, Ally has had multiple 1st place finishes throughout the year at premiere events like Get on My Level 2016 and the aforementioned Evolution 2016.

Ally is to join Super Smash Bros. Melee legend Joseph "Mango" Marquez as Cloud 9's second Smash competitor. Aside from the two Smash games, the organization also boasts top-level teams in titles such as League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Did you expect this? Let us know in the comments!

For more updates on Ally, feel free to follow him on Twitter @AllyOrNotAlly and his new sponsor @Cloud9.

Um… on the second paragraph. Is it thread or threat?

Anyway, Ally joining Cloud9? An esports group not only sponsors Mango but also sponsor game crews like League of Legends, Overwatch etc? Sounds good to me.

Ally is my Mario's inspiration. Because of him, Mario has become a high tier character despite a lot of people consider Mario too balance and easy to use.

As a Canadian. I am legit hyped over this signing and it was about time he should been sponsored especially with a year like this.

1) We apologize for the typo
2)Mario is not top 10

-That's ok, just spot the error afterall, no big deal.

-That's actually debatable, Mario might have been top tier in some periods of time, in some region's tier's list, a professional Smasher's tier list. I disagree with you but it's not yet set stone. Many character also varies. Like Cloud, Ryu, Corrin, recently Marth etc.
Just take Sonic for example, Sonic is commonly consider the top tier character in Japan.

Posting an article before confirmation is seriously heinous. Idk who keeps letting you post articles without vetting but god damn, there's definitely an editor asleep at the wheel.

ESPN got the confirmation in advance if you check everywhere else. We're following off their queue.

Fair enough, I guess I don't really need Smashboards to follow any sort of journalism practices. That said, there's still myriad typos in this post. I understand English isn't this guy's first language so I'm not being hard on that, but does smashboards have no one in charge of proofreading?

EDIT: that first line sounds super sarcastic but it's not supposed to be, genuinely don't expect smashboards to toil over stuff.

It was fairly breaking so there might be a few errors as they're supposed to be insta-write-to-publish articles (they're fixed now, check the refresh).

If you check out our other posts, they're pretty much all well edited by me and the editing team.

No worries about the criticism, we're fresh off a restructure and all comments are appreciated. We're trying to legitimize the publication more so I hope you can check out some of our other work too.

Solid attitude, I appreciate that.

I was so hype for this happening! Well deserved for one of the coolest smashers out there.

I also find it funny how both Mang0 and Ally have somewhat similar styles (Very instinct based, mindgames and powerful reads) it's almost as if Cloud9 has it's own style of smash they like.
