I'm happy! How do you feel about this?

Looks like we have different levels, each one is based on a franchise! Sweet! And do we see a return of smash coins? Or are they something else?

I'm really interested to see what the coins are for. I thought they would be for the lottery thing, like from melee but he said you don't shop with it. Hmm...

Happy about the fact it's coming back, but it was a lackluster update, so I am disappointed because I now have to wait another day.

Wonderful!

And for anybody who hasnt played melee, the coins (if they are for the same thing) are put into a trophy vending machine. the more you put in, the better chance at a new trophy.

But yes, excellent news! Subspace AND Master Hand mode!

Eh, unsurprising and quite a let down after last night, but you have to "You Must Recover!" updates once in a while I suppose.

I'm thinking the coins won't be just for the lottery this time around

Was there really any doubt classic would return?
Yes I doubted that classic mode would return... Not! No I don't think there was any doubt that classic mode would return
too bad they didn't show Masterhand though so maybe there is something different about him that they didn't want to reveal

Classic will bring back the old memories of both of the others, so its always welcome. I still remember when i got smash 64 way back when i was in 4th grade.

This game is big enough, I think they add classic mode so you will has something to do. More money, they should have a shop where you could buy hidden chacters, stages, etc.

From the last picture it looks like they got rid of the specific reasons for your points such as BUTTERFINGERS - 1000 or NO DAMAGE CLEAR +100000000.

If they do leave them out then that is fine with me, I saw no point to them in the first place anyhoo.

Yes classic mode was a bit of a lackluster update, but they have to announce this to chain other announcements. For example, the boss is preferably Master hand. They cant announce master hand before they announce classic mode. Appearantly the use of coins had to be chained to the announcement of this mode, so we will see.

Aye, what OnionKnight said; first comes Classic Mode, then perhaps what the coins are used for or Master Hand. Sakurai said you don't shop with them, so no, you wouldn't buy stage creation stuff. The trophy lottery really wasn't shopping, IMO, so it could be that. I dunno.

OMG!! It's so simple. They only have one use. The only button left on the controller. The fourth taunt. You'll say how many coins you have. Bragging rights ftw. I'm beginning to hate coins and Sakurai. Why can't he just tell us? ;-;

Its funny cause the whole purpose of a "coin" is currency. He could have easily used something else, some made up thing, but he stuck with coin. There has to be something in that. These coins do look an awful lot like the base of the trophies though.

I checked that, there are a lot of differences between the trophy bases and coins. =\

EDIT: Maybe everything is unlocked by how many coins you have instead of completing certain tasks... Would be kind of weird, but who knows? Maybe certain things anyway.

No, they could have announced Master Hand just so everyone would be like OMGOMG OMG DOES THAT MEAN CLASSIC IS STILL IN??? We would speculate and debate about it, as we do everything, and it wouldn't make a bit of difference. What will happen will happen.

Classic two player mode would be interesting. I wonder how they'd work that out. Classic mode was a shoe-in for making the cut. It's been there since the beginning, and it's not going anywhere.

What about teh coins? Obviously some are going to be used for continues and trophies, but any other speculations? Maybe unlocking characters or bonus content?
