first off, i searched this, and found nothin.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What controller wood u rather play the game with? i'd like the classic controller. I think proof of it's use is the way alot of ppl in the trailer crawl. If u havent seen it, there are 2 buttuns, zl and zr, next to the l/r buttons. i think this will have somethin to do with crawlin, and thereofor will lead to the use of the classic controller.

I was originally thinking that I was going to use the classic controller for Brawl. I thought it'd be nice to have the new smash with a new feel. However, having used the classic controller, I think the ergonomics of the GC controller just win out in the end. As for the wiimote/nunchuck? There aren't enough buttons to do everything there is to do in smash, and I don't think motion sensing would work for a game like smash.

Cube controller for me.

Yeah, Cube controller.

I've found that with Virtual Console games that using the Cube controller is WAAAAAY easier for N64 games than the classic. It's difficult to move using the stick when its that low on the controller (and we obviously need that stick for tilts and smashes and what-have-you).

Classic controller works much MUCH better for SNES, NES and GEN games (as well as 2D Wii games like Fire Emblem).

Classic with three Wavebirds. But the Dualshock positioned analogue sticks was a very stupid move.

DBZ for Wii and Mortal Kombat Armageddon use the NGC Controller, Classic Controller and Wiimote+Nunchuk, I guess it will be the same in Brawl. I'll be fine with my Cube Controller.

I'll be using teh cube controller most probablly, because as jump20x6 said, teh ecenomics of the gamecube controller are just better, well, I'll definetly give te classic controller a try because, it rules, but other than that Im sticking the gamecube controller.

The Wiimote is definately viable, although maybe not preferable, for Brawl... A, B, and Z are still there, C could replace R/L, up to jump, 1 for taunt. There you have it, basic controls.

Is there any reason to use a Wiimote over a Gamecube controller, however? Hell no! I think jumping with up makes wavedashing practically, if not literally, impossible, and the lack of a C-stick is quite inconvinient. I'm just saying that the Wiimote can totally be used to play the game.

Yep most definitly, I might try the wiimote if they incorperate my prefered control scheme for the wiimote + nunchuck, will probably still use gamecube but...

Analog Stick = Move/Jump
DPad = Secondary Jump
+ = Pause
- = Taunt
A = Regular Attacks
B = Special Attacks
Z = Shield/Dodge
C = Grab
A+B = Grab

After much thinking about it that seems like the best solution available to use on the wiimote + nunchuck although the gamecube controller will probably still be better.

....... Oh, you were talking to me?
i'm pretty much sold to using the Cube controller, but I still don't know how the controls are gonna work, so I'm not completley sure about the matter.

If I used Wii/chuk, my hands would get tired with all of the moving(if they decide to incorperate the motion-sensitivity into Brawl)

You're obviously doing it wrong. Trust me. They're around. I bet if you just looked within the first two pages, you'd find one of these threads.

Anyway, my bet's on a newer controller-- be it the Wii+Chuck or the Classic. I'd much rather use the GCN controller, but they're not going to be selling those forever.

Although we're all used to using the GC controller, we we're all used to using the N64 controller before Melee came out. I would love to use the classic controller, but the Gc controller is fine.
