Chu Conjecture

I just created an account to prod at a few questions or just general thoughts about Chu.
To be short:
I wanted to ask if using his turn to grab had less lag time missing then his normal "oops I missed, roll for half an hour" schpeel.
By turn grab I mean where you run/walk and hit grab+reversed direction, so that he does his normal little grab instead of his epic frontflip.

I haven't bothered to frame it out or anything, if anyones got a quick answer let me know.

As for other things, Im curious as to whether anyone has found any reliable chu combos, aside from heavy characters 0-60%'d or Quacking u-airs or whatever, is there anything that actually chains together well?
Im just trying to get off the ground with him, he seems like he's got potential to be at least higher-mid tier, but he lets me down sometimes... all the time.

I guess thats really all I've got.
Let me know if you've got anything. Or even just delete this post if it's intensely irrelivent. Or make fun of my spelling, because even I would.

One combo I love, actually mentioned on the board, fair to dsmash. So long as the last shock in the fair doesnt hit (fast fall or whatever), theyll be close enough for your dsmash to work.
