Hey guys, just wanted to invite you all out to a Tournament we're hosting at Penn this Saturday, December 5th. It will be Melee and Brawl with prizes awarded and is open to anyone interested.

Come out and enjoy a day of Nintendo's popular Super Smash Bros. brought to you by the Community Health Initiative at Penn. All proceeds will go towards charity: www.cureinternational.org

The admission fee is $5, which will get you unlimited play all day, entry into the tournament as well as food and drinks. Multiple TVs, Gamecubes and Wiis will be set up for play.

The tournament will be for Melee AND Brawl and will be singles, doubles if time permits. Rules will be sent out on a later date. PRIZES AWARDED.

Casual playing of Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Melee will also be available for everyone, so please come out just to play! If you've never played before, it's definitely a game that you will enjoy and if you have, there's no better way to kick it before finals than by smashing your friends off a stage.

This event is open to Penn students and anyone interested in the greater Philadelphia area. Invite your friends!

yo guys, heres some info

Hey guys,

I just wanted to remind you all that CHIP’s SMASHFEST is this Saturday at 11 AM at 1920 Commons Underground. Registration starts at 11 AM. At 12 PM, there is a lunch break. The tournament will begin at 1 PM.

11 AM -- when you pay your entry fee of $5, you will be asked to record your name and what tournament you would rather participate in. You may register any time from 11 AM to 1 PM when the tournament begins.

Afterwards you are free to mingle, smash, eat, whatever you would like. We are NOT serving lunch! We have food and drinks for people to enjoy as refreshments but there will not be a full course meal available. That said, eat beforehand or during the lunch break (there are PLENTY of places to eat in the nearby vicinity including 1920 Commons itself… one floor up). The tournament will begin at 1 PM. If you are registered but not present by 2 PM, you will be DQed from the tournament(s) you’re entered in.

A few ground rules:

1) Do not remove controllers from their station. This is important.
2) Please remember there are people here playing casually and competitively. However, competitors get priority.
3) Four TVs will be set up (2 Brawl/2 Melee) for casual play. We would ask that you really give up your seat after each game if people are waiting at these stations to give everyone a chance to play. The remainder of the stations will be for competitive play and casual when unused.
4) If you leave, check with the person at the door. That way you won’t be asked to pay when you enter again.
5) Bathrooms are upstairs on the ground floor.

Directions:

1920 Commons is located on the intersection of 38th St. and Locust Walk (between Spruce and Walnut) in Philadelphia, PA. If you are on 38th St, look for a bridge. 1920 Commons is a building directly adjacent to the bridge. Once you get there, go all the way down the stairs for our event. There should be someone at the 1920 Commons entrance to direct you.

**A random participant in our tournament will receive an autographed picture of 76ers shooting guard and small forward Royal Ivey. **

Hope to see you all there!
