Anyway, all memes aside, I'm Chewshoe. I'm new to the competitive Smash community, and would like to get better at the game (and watch) *prepares for tomatoes to be thrown*
As the earlier pun suggested, I'm a Mr. Game & Watch main, and going to be picking up Chrom once Ultimate comes out. Perfect time for me to get into the competitive scene.
I'm glad to be getting into Competitive Smash. When I played in a tournament for the first time, I knew this is something I wanted to improve in. I placed 5th out of 21 players, and it was a lot of fun.
I use the Gamecube controller. Specifically the Smash Ultimate edition. Before that, I used the Pro Controller. However, I am looking to getting a custom Gamecube controller at some point in the future.
As a Smash player, I'd say I'm mediocre at best. I don't really have anyone to sit down and have a nice skill-based battle for practice. Every time I play locally, everyone I play with keeps turning items on high frequency and only picking hugely gimmicked stages, so I never actually developed any actual skill.
