Check Out The eShop's Super Smashing Sale Throughout September

In case you missed it yesterday, Nintendo announced that several games will be discounted in the eShop to commemorate the release of Smash Bros. for 3DS. Each week until then will feature certain combatants from the game, and their titles will be put on sale for the entire week. This week's sale includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Little Mac, and Rosalina, meaning that several Mario titles have been considerably discounted. Want to see which ones? Take a look:

NOTE: Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream is discounted on the 3DS eShop as well.

Agreed. As much as I like the idea myself, not a very good selling point to do that, especially before the game is released. Now, if it was Melee HD remake for free or discounted price when you purchase SSB4 on the Wii U, then you'll be making money.

Mentioning this since it was not mentioned in the article, but Nintendo of Canada has given out hints of what future games will be (obviously more games then what appear on this list will be avaliable):

Week 2 (Sept. 4 -11) will feature Veteran Fighters such as Zelda™, Sonic, Pit, and Captain Falcon, along with Newcomers Palutena, Mega Man and Robin:

• Fire Emblem: Awakening (Nintendo 3DS)
• The Legend of Zelda™: The Minish Cap (Wii U)
• Sonic the Hedgehog (Nintendo 3DS)
• Mega Man X (Wii U)

Week 3 (Sept. 11-Sept. 18) will shine the spotlight on Veteran Fighters including Pikachu, Samus™, and Charizard, plus Newcomers Mii Fighters, Greninja and Wii Fit Trainer:

• Pokémon™ Battle Trozei (Nintendo 3DS)
• Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U)

The original F-Zero, for SNES, is available on Wii U.

F-Zero X is also on the Wii store, accessible via the Wii channel, but I'm not sure they'd put that on sale (because they STILL haven't put N64 games on the real eShop).
