Anime Charleston off of Dorchester Rd between Cross County and Ashley Phosphate are going to be running bi-weekly video game tournaments. More details to come soon, but they're going to be doing a "test run" so to say next week and the week after.
Fighting game days (Tuesdays) will be $10 registration fee. This allows you to enter and play in all the games. FPS (Thursdays) will be 4v4 teams and a $50 registration fee per team. 1st place in each game gets a $25 gift card.
If you can bring a TV, console, games, etc, that would be awesome. At the very least, bring your own controller.
In order to participate, you must sign a form. The form in a nutshell says that there is a code of conduct you must abide by and that you're aware videos will be recorded, and might be used in promos for the store. If you're under the age of 18, you must have a parent sign the form. This is only for your first time attending since forms will be kept on file.
August 7th - Naruto 4 (GC), Capcom vs. SNK 2 (PS2), Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (PS2), Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (PS3)
August 9th - Gears of War (X36)
August 14th - Super Smash Brothers Melee (GC), Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (PS2), Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (PS2), Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3)
August 16th - Halo 2 (X360)
Sunday TBA - Guitar Hero II (PS2)
If less than 16 total people show on Tuesdays, or less than 6 teams show on Thursdays, then the tournaments shall be canceled.
