Characters that NEED to be explored more

Hey its me again and this thread is for those characters, you know, those ones that everyone thinks is not that great but, with a little more digging could be just the opposite of that.
Some examples of this is are
Melee: Jiggypuff, C.Falcon, and Ice Climbers
Brawl: Toon link, Diddy kong, and Olimar

So in your opinion what are some characters that NEED to be look at further?
and for those characters what do you think their potential could be?
Also do you have any reasons why you feel this way?

For me the top 8 characters that NEED a closer look at is
Olimar
Pit and Pitoo
Villager
Metaknight
Charizard
Samus
Kirby

They feel underrated

I think Pacman, Wiifit trainer, Peach and maybe Pikachu are pretty underrated and have some untapped potential.

At this point, basically anyone with custom moves.

Samus with Relentless Missiles/Dense Charge Shot
Mario with Fast Fireball/Gust Cape
Peach with Light Veggie
Wii Fit Trainer with basically anything seriously does she have any bad custom options
Pac Man with Freaky or Lazy Fruit

I mean, anyone who's read the character discussion thread knows about how everyone sings the praises of Wizard's Dropkick, Timber Counter, Hammer Spin Dash, etc., but the vast majority of matches I see on Youtube still have just default moves. (And are usually on Smashville/Battlefield/Final Destination, but that's another topic.)

~ Some say he sucks, others say he's good, and he's underrepresented as a character.
~ People say that he sucks, but I don't think people should sleep on him yet.
~ People really have no idea how good hes is. Many people say he sucks cuz Link always has, but that's not true in Sm4sh.
~ Same as Falco.
~ He isn't talked about very much, but I see lots of potential. He's a somewhat misunderstood character in terms of what he can do.

Villager and Captain Falcon see pretty good tournament representation in some areas. Definitely want to see more Falco, though.

Olimar is heavily under-repped. I think he may have lots of potential, and Olimar mains are probably aware of it if he does. He just needs more usage if he's good.

I wouldn't say Pit is under explored, but definitely under represented. He has just about everything needed to compete, but nobody actually, well, competes with him.

Lots of combos (as far as SSB4 goes), lagless SH aerials that can be fastfalled to various degrees, one of the best projectiles in the game, very flexible playstyle, god-tier recovery... His only major weakness are his KO moves, but that's fairly moot because of how easily he racks up damage, his gimping ability is incredible, and his Fsmash and Usmash KO at 90-ish. Although it does lead to some painfully slow matchups... Like Mario for some bizarre reason.

I haven't seen very much of . I used to think he was bottom 3 because of what people keep saying about his pikmin AI and the general changes Pikmin had. Then I saw an Olimar in a stream and my opinion of him changed. I think he's an unexplored but a potentially decent character. Also, . I've seen some decent zard play and I have a friend who uses him quite often. Other than that though, just a whole lotta flare blitz spammers.
